eating > homemade tacos al pastor

This is what happens on the weekend:

  1. Lounge on the couch flipping through channels.
  2. Find food-related show.
  3. Drool over whatever food they are showcasing.
  4. Spend the rest of the day making said food.

One weekend it was the Mexico episode of Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservations. They were eating tacos al pastor on the street. They looked happy. We wanted to be happy too. Hence, full day of taco-related toils.

The results were delicious and toil jokes aside were reasonably easy since we used a crockpot.

I halved this recipe for crockpot tacos al pastor and this recipe for tomatillo salsa verde. The tacos are topped with shredded cabbage, cilantro, onions, and sour cream.  Full bellies and no complaints!

Happy Cinco de Mayo!
